JUST THINKING ALOUD!!!

Countries like Germany and other rich countries of Europe have a
population density of over 300 people as against the 20 people of
most Third world countries on the same square kilometer. Yet
Africa countries (the so called third world countries) are told to be
overpopulated and stand the risk of a many future disasters. Fine.
what is worrisome is not the estimation or survival on the same
square kilometers but the interest shown by all on population
control than on our economy, technological development,
agriculture to mention but these... I am not inviting you to a
critique of the analysis with comparison between 300 and 20 on
same space as I inviting a critical investigation on the 20 suffering
a many man killer deserters like AIDS, Ebola, Mleria, Security
Challenges, go on with the list on our Mortality growth. Europe do
not suffer this, Nigeria for instance may not as populated as
Germany, They are not as endowed as we are (I beg to be
corrected) yet their support for our population control is far more
beyond on improving our technological advancement, economy,
Health care (with apologies to Bill Gate, UNICEF e.t.c) Education ...
I mean No one is genuinely supporting us on these as on pushing
us to LEGALIZE ABORTION, CONTROL BIRTH RATE √ ... # Now :
after all said and done, do I still hear someone saying invite
FOREIGN Investors where we are talking about revitalizing our
dying economy??? Take this from me. You are subscribing to
MODERN COLONIALISM. I will prefer the lesser evil which our GDP
allows by international standard... Baba Buhari GET THE
LOANS....... and forget investors that will give you #100 you and
your children work for them and generate #1000000 for them.
Better a slave in developing Nigerians economy than a slave in
developing another's economy whose appreciation will be to
influence wrongly my polity and intoxicate my young promising
brain with an ever enduring gentle death....

YOU KNOW I HAVE MET A NUMBER OF LADIES THAT WOULDN'T WANT NO RELATIONSHIP WITH A MAN EVER, NEVER KNEW WHY UNTIL THIS EVENING WHEN I HAD TO GIVE A LISTEN EAR AND SOME HELP TO THIS.

"When it all began and before I visited his bed he always tells me 'I love you than anything' on some few occasions he told me 'I find myself loving you than my mum'. Now am carrying his child and I am the must 'careless person' he ever met, as if I forced myself on him. He suddenly forgets how he insisted, how I told him I was not ready for it. What should I do? No one seem to know his way about,,his line is active but he would not pick my calls. There is just no way I can keep this, I will flush it out".

Some men could be heartless you know!!!
She is now fine by God's grace she left happy and smiling and with a promise of keeping the pregnancy.
I only wish the head with the eye that reads this will learn something from it.

POLITICS AND RELIGION: An adulteration.

I am happy to be part of a history, the fact of the successful election of Sir. Gen M. Buhari my able President elect. Am proud also to note I never wasted my vote. I most commend the share show of sportmanship in the part of Sir. G. E. Jonathan my president.

However, let us be objective, revisit the past days since they announced their intentions to contest the elections to this moment and see our flaws with a view to correct them.

28th March have come and is gone, the leasons however, glaring. The experience tipical of a politics influenced by religion. A sure show of betrayal and disguise. Worse more, the lessons more a mirage than an unnoticed treasure at the water surface.

Courtesy of this election, I see a people that are more religious than Godly trusting high humanity than divinity. Little wonder we hoped more in man than God.

Because of our hope more in man, we see even the impossible, possible. Because of our trust in man we see hope die off even at it (hope)'s promising nursery. This attitude is as deathly as distroying a future and little less than extending sufferings as in the days of the Exodus.

It is this trust in man that make us see GMB as capable of Islamising Nigeria forgeting that trusting in God will tell us even at the entrance of Damascus soul can still turn to Paul.

We so much trust in Man in that we see GEJ as unchanging and unrepentant, forgetting that even on the cross the thief still has a Chance to inherit the Kingdom in equal propotion with his prosecutor.

Becouse we hope more in man we saw GMB as the only salvation Nigeria needs, forgeting love, peace and unity can come through any and every body.

Because we so much hope in man we saw GEJ as greedy and currupt since he could not enlarge our individual accounts forgeting that he is simply a mortal that is limited not God.

I call for a shift from the ideologies of old as these and invite my readers and Fans to note that:

All we need is to be given an enabling environment to explore our portentials which is the purpose for a government not to spoon feed the people. We equally never realized that, that enabling environment is only possible were peace, love, unity, and respect dwells.

Those characters of the most needed enaling environment are in us and most come from us.
I salute Nigeria and wish I could salute Nigerians.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE ADMIN KADUNA DREAMS FACEBOOK GROUP TUESDAY 16 JUNE, 2015

I took out this time out of my very precious and tied schedules to write to you, a matter of necessity and of high importance as far as the reputation of your group is concern and the peaceful coexistence we preach for in Kaduna State. I write with regards to the unhealthy position your member Sadikk M Sambo his holding which suggests a total disregard to almost every religion but his. Sadikk M Sambo has consistently made posts that provoke anger, and other ill sentiments and emotions over time. of recent he made out in his usual way a post against the Christian religion, part of which reads:
“let me advice u, u beta stop wastin ur time dancing and sigin haleluja like mad dogs coz Christianity is no more existin wat u guys are practicing is western@martins.” This was captured by Martins Kelvin Nwachinemere with the caption above: ”Here is another one!!!!! Same guy!!!! Admin am look up to you or!!!!!”
It has been a tradition in Kaduna Dreams that post that are judged as ill provocative, their authors are warned and depending on the degree of damage or persistence, the author is completely removed from the group. What is more worrisome here is not the anger this thought is provoking but the fact that the admin pay a deaf ear to the plea of many who demanded an action on this.
As at the moment of writing this letter, the re-post as quoted above has lasted more than four (4) hours and the admin still did not officially mention a word or take an action about it. This is happening in a place where many less provocking posts have been sanctioned, this is happening where the same fellow repeatedly committed several evils as such.
Worse of all, Sadikk M Sambo still glories inhis evil to mean it is an intentional act and a calculated plan toward an aim only God knows what. This is seen in some of his comment that reads “hahahah I have become a celebrity.” Also at about two hours back he asked in a comment; “y iz’t u u cannot differentiate a church wit a club.”
I for one have no problems with Sadikk M Sambo who appear learned yet uneducated enough, this is because we have no common grounds. His profile says he is a graduate of Aliyu bin abin talib, went to SCM Kafuna and his High school as Sarddauna Memorial and also Elkanemi College of Islamic Theology. If this is true, Islam should have a problem with him not me, because judging from his profil, he ought to be a true apostle of Islam not the contrary. Secondly, though much more older than me, his post suggests low level of maturity, wisdom and rationality. Hence, we have no case with him.
My problem is with the admin, whose actions and inactions to this regard leaves me no choice but to judge him in his silence as an accomplice, to prove me wrong, he must take an action.
I here seek to know; who is this Sadikk M Sambo that the amin so much favorers to the detriment of the rest of us?
What is the interest that the admin has in Sadikk M Sambo and his dirty views that he finds it hard to sanction him?
What is the particular objective of this group that Sadikk M Sambo”s post promotes?
I require the admin to reply me openly with justification of his silence and the answers he shall offer to these questions within the next 24 hours else we are force to make a declaration and take legal actions about this group and against both Sadikk M Sambo and the Admin of the group.
On a final note. Kaduna Dreams has promoted peaceful co-existence and tolerated nothing short of promoting this. I understand the turn up of events, but they should not make us loose focus for ‘only barrack remain, while soja come soja go’.
I demand an reply to this letter on why we should still have confidence on this group as a positive pleasure group and why we should still trust its objectives. This I humbly submit:
Jubal Free-man Dabo.

AN ASSESSMENT OF THE GURARA STRUGGLE A QUEST LONG OVER DUE

BY
JUBAL FREE-MAN DABO B.

INTRODUCTION
State creation in Nigerian has been connected with the problem of ethnic minority fears of domination. The Henry Willink Commission set in 1957 is a consequence of these fears. This fear brought about the creation of many states in Nigeria, many of these states began the move after the Gurara quest, they are states now an the Gurara quest is still on, some among these states however, are beneficiaries of the misfortune of the Gurara quest, I stand to be corrected.
There has been a long standing struggle for a Gurara state to be carved out of the present Kaduna state. The struggle has been a long and challenging one, hopes rising so high at periods or events where reports of various committees at different instances will declare the struggle worthwhile and meeting all pre-requisites. The problem however is the fact that with all these assertions, Gurara is still yet to come to fruition. Questions arising bother on what is left undone, when is the right time, who will bring it to a finish, who will come to our aid.
This contribution will cast light on the long standing, frustrated and buried Gurara quest of a much marginalized ethnic group who measure out asset to the entire nation. The study also aims at bringing to consciousness the history of the struggle: a stink to reason.

THE PLACE GURARA
The name Gurara defines the Southern Kaduna minority ethnic groups of Kaduna state. The former southern Zaria now Southern Kaduna is located within the central high plains of Northern Nigerian. It is located between Longuitude 5o and 7o East. It comprises of Chukun, Jaba, Jama’a, Kachia, Kagarko, Kajuru Kaura, Kauru, Lere, Sanga and Zagon Kataf Local Government Areass of Kaduna State. It has a culture complex sub-region together with the Jos Plateau, Nasarawa and Federal Capital Territory Abuja which forms the heartland of Nigeria. Gurara is consisting of the River Kaduna, River Kachia, River Iri, River Maro, River Sarkin Pawa, River Gwaro, River Dingo. Others are Rivers Gurara, Kagom, Mada and Sanga that drain directly into the Niger and Benue. It is endured also with rich soil, Hills and is rich in Agriculture.
The Gurara people are a distinct linguistic, cultural and racial Bantoid speaking group. Base on the linguistic and cultural linkages between and among these groups seven distinct ethnic lingustic clusters are formed to include:
The Netzit (Katab) Cluster
The Ham  (Jaba) Cluster
The Adara (Kadara) Cluster
The Gbagyi (Gwari) Cluster
The Ninani, Saminaka (North Eastern Ethnic) Cluster and
The Koro Cluster.

THE GURARA QUEST
The preamble to the motion for the creation of Gurara state established the basis for the demand as reported by Ibrahim James. It states that Kaduna state has a population of 3,969,252 million people by the 1991 population census. Here, Kaduna state stands as fifth largest in population after Lagos, Kano, Sokoto Bauchi and Rivers. The population then of the nine (9) Local Government Areas in the proposed State was 1,806,773 higher than the population of states as Yobe, Taraba, and Kwara then.
This struggle dates back to the Colonial period when Gurara first sort excision from Kaduna state then in the light of an alien Emirate traditional form of domination and control. This claim is true with a flashback to historic Southern Zaria of Old. The struggle began in 1957, at the Henry Willink Commission established by the colonial administration to address issues arising from agitations for the creation of new states where Gurara submitted a memorandum requesting to be excised from Zaria Emirate. At the end the recommendation of the commission presented her recomendations which did not favour state creation but suggested “the entrenchment of the fundamental human rights, establishment of social development authorities in categorically defined areas and the fostering of greater participatory democracy”1 as remedies which the colonial government of 1985 accepted. But, further agitations made continuous political crisis inevitable2 to this end, new states emerged by a simple merger of two or more provinces in the Northern Region. Later in 1967 at the dawn of the creation of twelve (12) states by the Gen. Yakubu Gowon Administration, Gurara requested for excision from Zaria and a merger with Plateau judging the fact that we share a lot similarities in identical occupational and settlement patterns, family and kinship structures, traditional political organizations and traditional religious beliefs and practices. Gurara was only left with a promise of sending  a boundary delimitation Commission which suffered a calculated delay. In 1976 the Justice Irikefe Panel was appointed by General Murtala Muhammed where Gurara submitted memoranda requesting for a (Nasarawa) state of their own or a merger with Plateau state the second time. This request was not favorably considered by the Panel on the grounds that there were no sufficient consultations among the groups agitating for a Nasarawa state, also she argued that such a creation will upset existing demands for the creation of other states that have enjoyed greater support. As for the merger, the argument was that certain areas of Plateau were hostile to the demand.
Later as the House of Representatives Committee on creation of State was constituted in 1976 Gurara again submitted a memoranda requesting for a state of her own. A consequence of the 1960/1970 reforms and reorganization of the Local Governments and the provincial political rivalry between Kaduna and Katsina Provinces. This too was fruitless. We still kept faith in the future, and in 1986 when the Gen. Babangida Ibrahim’s led administration inaugurated the Political Bureau also known as the Cookey Commission, Gurara submitted yet another memoranda requesting for a state of her own which at the end and for the first time, the commission proposed and recommend the creation of a southern Zaria State.3 Though Babangida’s administration created all the states proposed by the Chief S.J. Cookey’s led commission, only Gurara State was not created. Then at the Sani Abacha’s administration, the National Constitutional Conference was inaugurated and as usual, Gurara submitted memoranda for the Creation of a Gurara State. This particular memoranda enjoyed the highest support however, the result is not different.

WHY A GURARA STATE?
From the introduction, we stated that a struggle as this is first a consequence of fear of domination. Any answer we shall arrive at shall not be far-fetched from this. Tracing through history, we are able to understand, the Gurara struggle as triggered by nothing more than the pains of marginalization, subjugation and domination by their Zazzau brothers as all the different memorandas upheld highly an excision from Zaria. This is born out of the fact that the Gurara nation have so long endured these that wisdom will only trace the struggle for such freedom to fears of the unknown future which given the delay yielded  what the region suffered in the recent past. Zazzau took the patience of Gurara for fear, our peace for cowardice and our hospitality for folly hence, the domination and other related vices. On the other hand, government gave us the impression that she is a part of our odel by the delay in meeting our demands. A popular adage read thus “when the pushing gets to the wall, two forces will then push”. This is what I see in the early stage of the struggle.
The 1994 National Constitutional Conference Committee on Creation of State and Local Government while submitting her report suggested that it was “…time to remedy the errors and emotional conflicts of the past.”4 the conflict here is a claim as contained in the report of the 1986 Political Bureau and Creation of a Southern Zaria State that, the creation of a [Southern Zaria (Gurara)] state as such will “envisage a total dismantling of the (then) Federal structure and that the country could not afford the resources for such a reorganization and more importantly (they said) it would encourage Nigerians to retreat into their ethnic enclaves, thus damaging the chances for the evolution of true federation”5; on the contrary the National Constitutional Conference Committee on Creation of State and Local Government observed that any attempt to coerce unwilling communities or ethnic groups into living together in the same state would ultimately result in a breakdown of law and order6. However, possibly because Gurara was taken for granted, the Federation defened her ears to Gurara’s plea for a State. What is the result? The Kafanchan Crisis of March 1987, the Zangon Kataf Riot of February and May 1992, and recently the Gurrilla night attacks and other related security challenges.
More to that, Gurara suffered and still suffers a lack of equity, fairness and justice on areas as  appointment into government offices, Creation of More Local governments, Wards, and Chiefdoms (especially then), Students admissions into state and Federal Tertiary Institutions within the state, uneven employment opportunities, allocation of contracts and projects to mention but these. We cannot undermine the fact that these long experiences are the causal forces for the struggle.

THE POLITICS: AN EVALUATION?
Gurara state till this very moment is yet to be, the question is, what is left undone? Has Gurara failed in anyway? Granted, the Gurara quest has suffered inconsistences on the part of 'Gurarians', as it was a demand for excision from Zaria and Merger with Plateau, later it turned a request for a Nasrawa State, at other times it was a demand for a Southern Zaria, southern Kaduna, New Kaduna State before finaly settling for a Gurara state. However, turning back through memory lane we will realize, answers to these two questions will only refer us again to the sub-theme above “a struggle long overdue”.  What is worrisome are the flimsy excuses Gurara continued to receive with regards to why a state should not be created. The Justice Irikefer’s Panel for instance reported against Gurara’s demand for a Nasarawa State on grounds that there was no much consultations among the groups   agitating for such, again that the creation of Nasarawa state would seriously upset existing demands for other states. Granted that the first recommendation of non sufficient consultation may hold water to an extent, however, if others have made demands and do not meet the requirements, the question is should those who met the requirements suffer injustice simply because the others must be pleased? If however they all meet the requirements, why should they not be given the state or is there a constitutional limitation for numbers of state Nigeria should have? Fine, why should Gurara still remain a dream even after these states are created. On the merger with plateau, thesame Panel said no on the grounds that some areas of Plateau state were hostile to the merger. The big question is why not define clearly how many local governments or what percentage of the State House of Assembly stood against it?
From the unset we observed that many states had their freedom or are states today because of the misfortune of Gurara, for instance, the creation of a Nasarawa state as demanded then by Gurara would have interfered with the creation of states as Niger form the North-west, Benue from the Benue-Plataeu and the Federal Capital Territory and that is the politics. Another politics I see here is in the 1970s demand for the creation of a Katsina State and New Kaduna State form the then Kaduna State, at a time when the relationship of Katsina with other parts of the then Kaduna State broke so terribly, we saw another politics against Gurara that, when in 1979 the House of Representatives Committee on the Creation of State recommended that no referendum should be held in the area demanding the creation of New Kaduna state (which was one of the first three demands submitted) on the bases that one will be held in Katsina  and to save public funds. The question is why should only Gurara stand the sacrificial lamb at all times? Is the Nigerian Constitution unaware of the economic challenges and the implications there in when it defines that a people reserve the right to request for a state if they so wish?  If a referendum cannot be held in Gurara because Nigeria is too poor to finance such, why should it be held in other places anyway? Why should Gurara not be treated equally at others?
We saw another politics in the creation of Katsina State; when Gen. Babangida after the Political Bureau of 1986 stepped into state creation, the states even the Political Bureau rejected were split. Anambra and Imo state into Enugu and Abia states, Delta state was calved out of Bendel. Oyo was split into Osun state, Sokoto and Kano brought forth Kebbi and Jigawa states, Cross River was broken into Akwa Ibom States and Borno, Gongola and Kwara States were broken into Yobe, Taraba and Kogi States and the creator rested until 1987 then creation continued where Katsina was created out Kaduna state leaving the proposed southern Zaria to fate. We must ask, why the break if Gen. Babangida was confident that the demand for Katsina state deserved more credence than southern Zaria?

CONCLUSION
Here we have to God’s glory assessed the development of the Gurara struggle and the politics of state creation with particular interest to the calculated frustration of the Gurara quest. It is important at this juncture to not that the non complaince to the demand is out of a calculated attempt to enslave Gurara. What the Federation never grew to know is the fact that the entire nation would be a victim of this enslavement not only the Gurara people. I. Say thumps up to Gurara for her maturity else she would have felt justified losing trust and confidence in the constitutional means of agitating for a state of her own. As seen above, We are not unaware of the recently concluded National Conference that recommended the creation of Gurara state among others, however we will not so soon forget the vain hopes we have lived with in time past as the tempation to continue frustrating the effords of the Gurara citizens still is alive and active, what we espect is that the present Government will outstand other administrations by overcoming this temptations. Southern Kaduna so much believes in due process and expects nothing short of the best. Any attempt for further frustrations will surely end up a frustration on the part of the enemies of the struggle.
As we congratulate the present administration on her historic success at the polls, we call her to the knowledge that Gurara is a collection of a people whose world view has been changed by eventualities as such should not be taken for granted. As such, she (the present administration) should atleast appreciate the patience of Gurara and grant her request for a state as recommended at the National Conference. The significant needs of Gurara are Justice, equity, security and a State of her own. The greatest of them all is A STATE OF HER OWN.

BROKEN BOUND: THEY ARE NOT FULANI HERDSMEN BUT TERRORIST TREAT THEM SO

[Hospitality is the guilt of my ancestors for which I am killed]
Introduction
Nigeria is undergoing a systematic death agena tending toward a complete destruction of the state. We become ever confused over what to face as what is before us and against us is much more stronger it seems than we can face. More worrisome is the fact that this is perpetuated by Nigerians against Nigerians. This problem stems from our poor approach to the challenges before us. We have failed to approach the problem as against Nigeria, rather we build up affiliations that makes it even more difficult to salvage the situation. The terrorist is protected by a tag from a bound ordinarily his crimes have broken. Is it the Biafaran movement that brought the Civil war, Book Haram Issue that have so much destroyed the state of the nation, the Niger Delta militancy that destroyed our resources and international relations or the most recent suspected Fulani herdsmen gorilla night attacks that have rendered our state a death zone that is not a pointer to the above claim?
Sadly these monstrious bodies do this harm and are still protected by these bounds they had long broken before their operations even reached the news desk. While the Biafaran Movement enjoys protection from the tag "Biafaran" which makes every 'Biafaran' (if anything exists as such) feel it is his/her interest that is sort for, the Boko Haram enjoys "Islamic", the Militancy "Niger Deltan" and the recent attacks enjoys the protection of the tag "Fulani".
In my opinion, it is this tags that so made the problem seem near impossible to resolve. The earlier we accept this the better for us. I borrow a leaf from my themes on morality where the case is similar to this, where fornication and adultery are simply made less evil by their new name, " Catching fun, sugar Mummy, Extramarital affairs, e.t.c" I recall in boarding schools you hear such names as "Shifting, Borrowing, Shopping e.t.c". These words are used to replace the word stealing or theft among students and this replacements makes theft amongst students appear a common thing to do as you would hear a students say with no shame or regret 'I shifted his book'.
The strength of the implication of a word will never be the same when such a word is replace with another. We appear to have a wrong understanding of the distinction between nearest in meaning and the same meaning. No two English words can have the same meaning (I stand to be corrected). But if that be true, it is only worthwhile that our Government, policy makers and security operatives readdress this issue.
WE ARE LOST
What Nigeria is suffering from is not what we are addressing. When we are suppose to address terrorist attacks we are wasting our time addressing sectional, regional, religious and 'bla! bla!! bla!!' issues. we have lost the definition of what we should address and I only wonder, if there is a a misconception in the definition of a problem how can that problem be solved appropriately. Let us suppose I have the power to decide which air I breath and I miss defined oxygen as cabondiaoxide, would I not breath in the wrong air? This is the case with Nigeria and this is what provoked this thought in me hence this little piece for the sake of the suffering nation and potential victims.

VICTIMS IN WAITING
Day in day out Nigerian's live victims in potency, we are either waiting for the doom soon to fall on us or a doom soon to fall on what we hold dear. Directly or indirectly we are victims in waiting. But the inevitable is not the problem for now, the problem is the evitable our indifference is making inevitable. Long in the days we saw a gun only on the screen but it never dawn on us to see it as a thing we can hear as existing near us, then we would hear the sound of a gun in the air during arm forces celebrations, Independence day and a host of other celebrations of like manner but we never thought of the sound of a gun as something more than a celebration. Then we began to hear the news of war in countries far off, and we would always see it as a foreign man's problem. When the unwanted guest landed in the green white green land, it was to reveal a great folly. When we heard of Maiduguri, it was their problem, when it shifted to plateau State, it was the Plateau natives disunity that have caught up with them and Kaduna state indigenes in collaboration with other states of the federation will sit in folded arms. In plateau it was the Birom problem and the Ngas ... would be sleeping and snoring until their time is dawn.
And when it shifted to the Ganawuri axis, it was still a plateau state problem, even when it moved to Zangan in Kaura Local Government of Kaduna State, Moro'a chiefdom of the same state would still see it as a Takad Chiefdom wahala that would not cross over. And so we slumber as death move near and nearer, we slept comfortably victims in waiting while the evil one went on having a nicely-easy show in a land so acclaimed peaceful, united and strong when in fact she is but a fragmented weak troubled state. We left our proverbs and wise saying lay in waste else the hausa proverb "in kagan gemun dan'uwan ka na cin wuta, yi maza ka debo ruwa ka shafa wa naka" would have been a stronger tool to change our definition into 'ready fighters in advance'.
We slept, we snored and our love ones died, we are sleeping, and are snoring still our love ones are dying by a systematic agenda of an ungodly poorly schooled educated illiterates. With all our degrees we are victims of a dirty, bushy, disgusting fulani beast that have allowed a devilish, selfish Mallam do the thinking for him. Funny hhhn? The wise is the fools victim. If only they are wise an not foolish, how can Sadam or Osama be running for their dear lives while telling me to go and commit suicide as a bomber for the great reward, wait a minute, you mean these masters do not want to gain the reward just soon? Well these are the 'thinkless things' we find among us and we must deal with it.

SOUTHERN KADUNA AND THE HERDS MAN'S WRATH
Between late 2014 and now southern Kaduna have endure hell from the always unknown gun men or suspected fulani herdsmen. It has been a well plant and executed genocide just in planned scheme. It is a process still ongoing. Jama'a, Kaura and Sanga local government among others have suffered this largely. I keep asking what guilt have my people done that they must be punished this terribly, the more I ask the farther the answer moves from me.
One would have reasons to think that the only sin we are paying so terribly for is nothing more than our ancestors' and our hospitality and peaceful nature. We have been too loving to the visitor some times even much more than our very own. Instead of our guest to celebrate and appreciate us, he have turned a thorn on our foot that we cannot favorable walk.

WE ARE VICTIMS OF OUR FOLLY, GREED, AND SELFISHNESS
But you know I do not blame them like I blame us. We have been so foolish to trust the guest above our very own. Now the result is that we are taking for granted and any dirty thing can sleep on his piece of wood and wake up feeling a saint that must kill us 'sinners' for a supreme being that is incapable of punishing the 'sinner' himself but must depend on some illiterate and mostly poverty driven 'human beast'. Why would we not be so treated when we are thought of as a people with no voice strong enough. Or what strong voice do we have than on the social media that lay unnoticed?
If only we have strong people in government now, if only we had a say in the economy, if only we have proven our industrious capabilities, if only we have political gods, if only we have all that or even more do you think we would be so treated with cruelty and no one would come to our aid? If only we have a say in the Nigerian Army do you think anyone would walk in and out on us as they feel? It is not a matter that we do not have these powers but that we had all the opportunities and let them waist away. Gone are the days when a southern Kaduna man could contest the governorship of Kaduna State and give his Kaduna North opponent sleepless night until he is able to get some of us to use against us. Gone are the days southern Kaduna rides the Nigeria Army horse. But we waisted such opportunities by our selfish spirits and that devil of over dependence , for while the blessed among us refused to bless others, the others slept lamenting how they are not being blessed.
It has been the tradition with us that hardly would the best among us make it to the base, huddles are set for them by the same fellows that should develop them into fully actualizing their potentials. Today, to make it up the ladder you must bury your potentials from your kinsmen which would either result into the fellow depending on the generosity of others that are not his or completely killing these potentials God have freely given him or if eventually he is in the position, he or she is unable to perform to his worth because the time he should use in developing these potentials he had used in hiding the potential, seeking help that does not come without a price or completely he would have turned a slave to the wrong master.
The Isiah Balat's, Yakowa's, Ali Madaki's, Joshua Madaki's, the Military Gen. Zamani Lekwot's, M. Luther Agwai's, time is gone. Who is taking over from these mighty men of old. Today, where is that one fellow that was trained or mentored by one of the above mentioned (particularly in Politics) to take after them that is really having his show? Well all thanks to their efforts that only God and the fellows they do them to knows, and thanks too particularly to the Late Jushua Mamman Madaki for the Bantex of today as unverifiably I learned. But as at now, who else do we have powerful enough to contest for the Governorship of Kaduna State come 2019 from here that was mentored by those we hoped for.
Permit me say without mentorship there is no progress to hope for. But with mentorship, continuity is sure and so, progress. I have had many who had given me reasons not to read books like Davincci Code, 48 Laws of power and the likes with a claim that they corrupt the mind. Hello! no one, I mean no one have given me a reason not to believe the Law No 1 in 48 Laws of power "Never overshadow your master". Because I live in a society where to display your potentials is your passport to failure, dead of your dreams and sometimes dead of you.

AND VICTIMS OF OUR SILENCE TOO
Permit me build from the wisdom of Albert Einstein as I tell you the fact that our land have been so desecrated not by the evil men but by those of us who watch them and did or said nothing. Our brothers and sisters have been killed in a very cruel manner not by the evil men but by those of us who watched that happened and we did or said nothing. The blood of our brothers and sisters killed is NOT ONLY on the heads of their killers but on the heads of those among us who are watching this happen and are doing or saying nothing. I am talking about the government, security operatives, our traditional rulers, the influential among us, and our youths. I am talking about those of us who have or had a thing to do or say to save any of these occurrences but for reasons they know best failed to do so.
I have published a story titled " Jubal and the Fulani Driver" where I told the tale of a conversation between me and a Fulani driver that took me from Garaje, kafanchan to Kaura a day after the Godogodoo attack. In the tale [Freeman's Online Library (freemanjubal.blogspot.com.ng)] I told how the driver was trying to wash himself by saying "hmmm I do not know why my fellow Fulani cannot forgive..." And after a long silence I asked him using the Hausa tongue, "but mallam wai ma wani laifi aka aikata maku da ke neman gafartawa", pls escuse my poor Hausa it is not my language. I was asking him what really is the wrong done against you that must be forgiven? And the answer is yet to come. And tomorrow you will hear them signing a peace pact on a fight you do not know who really the enemy is and what the cause is. Such a folly.
It was reported in page 14 of the Splendor of Truth News Paper Vol. 6 No 4 of April, 2016 that "Southern Kaduna Communities Signed a Peace Pact". The pact was tagged 'Kafanchan Peace Declaration' which the centre for humanitarian dialogue facilitated as sponsored by the Canadian government subject to the inter-communal dialogue process initiated by her last year in areas affected by the 2015 communal clashes. Five Local Government areas were reported to have been covered in this pact to include as reported; Sanga, Kachia, Kaura, Zangon Kataf and Jama'a. This pact was signed by Christian and Islam representatives within the areas covered. But just after this drama and what could be better described as a day dream, the next we heard was another attack much more terrible, and I ask those involved in signing that pact, for how long shall we be fooled and distracted into these ventures of signing for peace and entering into dialogues that never yielded any thing fruitful as far as the desired goal is concern? why should we keep signing a document with the very wrong fellows.
I call it signing with the wrong fellows because those who signed the last peace pact for instance will surely tell us they do not know who the culprits of the last attack were. Those we keep signing with are those who will better prove that they are in total ignorance of the attacks and those behind it than the would prove it is those we suspect are. The picture I see is that of a father who has a very stubborn child, he knows this child will never listen to his words that is in fact if he is even able to set eyes on this stubborn child. But while the child is busy planning for his next crime the father is in bed and at the moment of the child's execution of is planned crime, the father will be at the court desk taking ought and signing documents ordinarily his son should.
In my little wisdom, I feel the need for reconciliation arises only after we truly know who is attacking us, why the attack, and after we have accepted the solutions we arrive at together with our attacker and then after meeting all we require of each other then the signing can come in which is but the seal of our reconciliation.
But what do I see? we are signing for peace over a problem we have no grasp of, with who we know will forever claim he is not aware of the problem and at a time we should be busy building our defense. This is a fruitless venture, it is fruitless and only a distraction to the victims in waiting. I could feel this is still part of the strategy. We are always the victims and always it is to us the plea for peace, calm, and tolerance is address.

COULD THE STATE SECURITY SERVICE BE BIAS?
One is left to wonder who in fact is the enemy? Is it the Fulani we see around us, the 'Fulani' we see but never understand or the government? Well I have heard and seen the likes of R Buhari, Dr. J Danfulani, N. Jagaba... Face the law on various accusations but I keep waiting for the news about the likes of Mallam Haruna Usman's arrest to no avail. Or is it that my sources are bias that they do not feed me with some information? Or am I the only one that have read of the interview granted by the Chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter of Miyetti Ahallah (association of herdsmen), Haruna Usman, where he made some incriminating auterancience on a saturday's attack by herdsmen in Godogodo village? Did no one read Haruna Usman saying the attack in question was a reprisal one after the villagers killed a Fulani chief In an interview with Vanguard? Or has it suddenly turn just for citizens to take the laws into their hands.
We can all see that the security operatives have not help matters over time, they are only available when they are not needed. They appear at the scene only quick enough to allow the culprit have a smooth run to his hide out. The time is now to give a squeeze face to this kind of unrealistic ventures and seek that only which is capable of given us the desired peace and security we so demand and that is our due. Imagine, the NPF and NA were quickly mobilized to the village on the attack before last at Godogodo to secure it after the evil agents had possibly began the merry for a job well done. And the people are left with nothing more than words that will say "remain calm  and be more security conscious amidst prayers." There are occasions we received reports that the suspects alleged to have a link to the evil have been  arrested  and are undergoing investigation at the moment. But the problem is that they seem to forever remain suspects undergoing an unending close door investigations til their case is totally forgotten given other occurrences.

HARUNA USMAN AND HIS LIKES SHOUD ACOUNT FOR OUR ORDEALS
Haruna Usman is quoted as saying:
“Are Fulani crazy to just go and attack people? Did you ask the Godogodo people what they did to the Fulani? We already have 17 grazing reserves in Kaduna State since colonial times, and there is no dispute about that. What happened was that these people went and killed a Fulani Chief in one of the villages and burnt his house. The Fulani are just revenging.” Ladies and gentlemen, a fulanin chief, a Fulani chief he said, a Fulani chief 'in one of the villages', a Fulani chief my people that we cannot know his name no even his title, a Fulani chief. So one a fulani chief, I mean many lives for one unidentified 'a Fulani chief'.
That is the satisfactory explanation Haruna Usman gave to justify the act. Even when the villagers "said the armed herdsmen had asked them to vacate their village, saying it had become a cattle grazing reserve." Haruna's claims still seem to hold water before who ever. A fulani chief's one life is enough to claim the lives of 24 years old Monday Hamza married with three children; 35 years old Toma Masara married with three children, 26 years old Chaka Rubutu married with four children, 20 years old Linus married with two childrn, 19 years old Julius married with a child, 18 years old Boboo Okocha, and 17 years old Sambo. Even that is not enough as the surviving victictims must live dying if the claims that said "After the attack, they would cut down all the crops for their cattle to eat" is true. The issue is we are not saying the police commissioner had done nothing about Haruna, what I am asking is what is that action taken by the police commissioner or government in general about Mallam Haruna's auterances and why should that be a secret any way?
If there is any one person we know now beyond any reasonable doubt that should be held responsible for our ordeal is the Kaduna State Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Mallam Haruna Usman if for nothing, that interview granted is more than enough to nail him. As a matter of fact, the State commissioner of Police still holds an explanation to us with regards to what he did and is doing about Haruna Usman.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Wise men are not afraid of the words and actions of the evil men they know as they are of the limits of the patience and endurance of the silent good people. It will be great foolishness to take our silence, peace, and hospitality for cowardice. The south African's endured the chains long enough to gather momentum for the dirty blow they once upon a time master received. Hitler had his show... We too have had enough.
I wish the government to know, for me and my likes, we have lost confidence in the Nigerian System, we have had enough, we have listen and obediently acted in accordance to the government plead for calm to no avail over the years. To regain this confidence, we demand to see our enemies face the law as should and that implies their been declared TERRORIST. You have constantly promised us peace, we have all wait in vain to an extend WE NO LONGER WANT PEACE. What we need is Justice, Justice against the culprits of our ordeals, Justice against the culprits that killed our love ones in all the affected Local governments in southern Kaduna, Justice for our brothers and sisters whose blood still cry. We want JUSTICE, JUSTICE WE SEEK AND JUSTICE WE MUST RECEIVE.
With due respect:
To our Religious, Traditional and Political leaders please know that Yar'adua would not have made such an achievement as bringing low the activities of militancy in the Niger Delta except for the fact that he entered into an agreement with the right people. Please, we suggest You know who you enter into dialogue with, know who you sign what with as it regards our security challenges. No peace should be signed any further except we know why we are attacked, what our foe wants, what we are ready to offer and if our foe is ready to truly drop his weapons for peace. Sign no peace pact except where and when the leader of this deadly agenda is out and ready for that. Rather, sue for justice than peace that you cannot find at this moment. Ask for the names of the leaders of these groups attacking us, if we know of Osama, Sadam Husain, and Shakau we should know that of the fulanis, if we know Sambisa for Boko Haram, we should know the base of these bushy fulani beasts. Until you can get little details as this and be free to publish them, you cannot have the peace you sign for but they peace you will have is that enough to allow for another successful attack. Bear this in mind; as your ink flowed while signing for a peace that never comes, so our brother's blood flowed for a trouble you never signed for.
To Nigerians as a whole, I challenge you to remove the good tag you have so blessed the dog with and see if killing it will still be hard. Address them as terrorist if you truly mean business about bringing them down. Remove the "Fulani", "Unknown", and "Suspected" tags you give them and see how easy it would be to nail them down.
#PEACE

PRESIDENT BUHARI: REDEFINE THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION

[A FIGHT NOT A HIDE AN SEEK MOONLIGHT GAME]

…in this new age, the role of the president in the fight against corruption
will be to provide the enabling environment for the relevant authorities [ICPC and EFCC] for an effective
fight against corruption else, the fight against corruption becomes his administration's
distraction.
                                                                                                                        J.F Dabo May30 2015

INTRODUCTION
True enough the ruling party (APC) gained success at the polls largely on the presumption that she has all it takes to fight against corruption. Basically this is bone up on a confidence in the personality of the then presidential flag bearer and now President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari. This claim, as controversial as it may seem suggest an objective stand of Nigerians on the fact that corruption is one foe we must fight hence, any thing and everything we would do or fell to do, say or be silent about from this moment should be in total disagreement to corruption. Indeed it is not a new known fact that other administrations did attempt a fight against corruption. But the bone of contention here is the fact that despite the numerous attempts, and despite the time, energy, and resources put in place to this regard, corruption is still a living reality and the only ‘fast growing thing’ in our life as a nation. The million dollar question then will be to ask what is left undone. And where we are lacking?
In this study, we shall attempt to prove that a successful fight against corruption is attainable only when we aim at building a genuine sense of patriotism and moral conscience in Nigerians than the traditional base on instilling fear. Secondly, bearing in mind the fact that President Buhari once fought against corruption in Nigeria and in the same capacity as Nigerian’s pilot, we shall assess his mode of fighting Corruption then and today’s with an aim at understanding the possible fate of this venture (the fight against corruption).
BUHARI AS MILITARY HEAD OF STATE 1983-85
It is worth while to note that President Muhammadu Buhari was a military head of state in Nigeria from December 31, 1983 to August 27, 1985. The then civilian government of President Shehu Shagari was overthrown in an efficiently executed military coup d'état that brought the Second Republic to an early close. This development was greeted with an outpouring of relief and joy all around the country and was welcomed by the nation's often contentious press. Reasons being the disastrous deterioration of the Nigerian economy, corruption, arrogance and the ineptitude of the Shagari led government as oil revenues declined from about $24 billion in 1980 to roughly $10 billion in 1983, external debt more than tripled, to an estimated $12-15 billion. The gross domestic production declined an estimated at 4.4 percent in 1983, following a 2 percent decline in 1982. Crippled by the country's inability to import raw materials and spare parts, industrial production plunged to less than half of capacity, while prices of many basic commodities more than doubled. Basic services collapsed as state governments fell months behind in salary payments to teachers and civil servants, who went out on strike in a number of states. The short-down of school systems, layoffs of workers, hoarding of commodities, and charges of extensive irregularities during the various 1983 elections also constitute reasons for the boo! Shagari’s government received.

One beautiful aspect of the Buhari led military regime was the reputation for honesty, dedication to the fight against corruption and strong stand against offending officials.
BUHARI’S FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION 1983-1985
At the take off Buhari the Military head of state, pledged to eliminate corruption and indiscipline, punish previous wrongdoing, prune public expenditures, and revive the economy. To achieve this, Hundreds of senior civilian officials and military officers were forced into retirement, transferred, or dismissed, as were thousands of civil servants. Hundreds of politicians and public servants were arrested and detained, including the former president and vice-president and former ministers, governors, and legislative leaders. Huge sums of cash were seized from the homes of prominent politicians and millions more were later uncovered in personal and party bank accounts. Several leading figures of Shagari's party, including Umaru Dikko, former transport minister and presidential campaign chairman, fled the country.
To further strengthen the fight was the establishment of six new decrees in March, two of which provoked considerable controversy. Decree 3 provided for trials of former public officials suspected of corrupt practices or other misconduct. Other decrees relevant to this study provided for the dissolution of political parties and movements and the creation of special tribunals, some for trying violators of currency exchange control laws, others for armed robbery and firearms cases. The corruption trials began in May with Victor Masi (former Finance Minister) jailed for 23 years in October and was the first official of the Shagari government to be convicted of corruption. Several other former state governors were convicted and sentenced to prison terms of 21 to 25 years for corruption and 10 to 15 years for illegal currency transactions. A number of officials were acquitted and released. Buhari’s short lived regime imprisoned roughly 500 elite politicians and businessmen on corruption charges.
The Gains of the 1983-1985 Fight against Corruption
Need I reiterate here that the dream of Buhari was to eliminate corruption; the question then will be was this achieved? The only achievement I see in the 83/85 fight is the fact that the government successfully instilled fear in Nigerians, a fear that will die off with the coming of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida’s regime. During Buhari’s reign, no one dared indulge in corrupt practices, and no one guilty of corruption found a place to stay in Nigeria. May be the other gain will be that the fight helped in building the reputation that will make Buhari stand trust worth among his equals today, a reputation that will later bring him back to Aso Villa as president in 2015. But the result had no strong positive impact on Nigeria. This is because the fight did not eliminate corruption from the minds of Nigerians, it became simply a case of no suitable environment for the corrupt to carry out what they know how to do best hence, a pose and wait since the sun will still shine after the rain. Instead of building a mindset that detests corruption in the corrupt and all, the fight rather nursed a collection of hungry lions waiting to strike at any given opportunity.  Sadly, the case is more devastating than of old despite the fact that a lot of the corrupt officials faced the law and were brought down.

The Problem of Definition
One problem we can rightly point out here is with the definition of corruption on the one hand and the fight against corruption as should be the case with Nigeria’s on the other hand. In the Buhari led administration of old, corruption was probably seen as damaging a part of Nigeria, when in fact it should be seen as damaging Nigeria. This explains why the fight dwelled more on fighting financial crime that is only a part of the whole,  if in fact they gave robbery, kickback, exploitation, drug pushing, election misconduct and other abuse of public offices a place in their definition of corruption, they never noticed, or show they were aware that corruption do exist beyond the public offices. This is what we still see prevailing today in the current fight against corruption, and if this should push through I fear we will only succeed in cutting the twigs, and may be branches of corruption but certainly not its limbs let alone the trunk. I only wonder if then we can hold our heads high to say we fought to a successful finish.
THE GENERAL PROBLEM
The Problem of Underestimation
In my most recent publication, An open letter to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State titled ‘Come To the Aid of a Promising but Dying Nation…’ published in Vol. 6 No. 02 February 2016 edition of the Splendour of Truth News paper, pg. 4-5.  I stated that
Our problem … is not fighting corruption in the context it is so reduced. It is more than arresting and prosecuting if in fact we know how deep corruption has eaten into us. Fighting corruption as is the case with Nigeria is far more than rebranding and something more closely to regeneration.
We have to a large extend reduced the fight against corruption to merely a fight against crime, crime and corruption may be related but they are not the same. We may think we are fighting corruption when in fact we are only fighting what I call the ‘crime of corruption.’ We must constantly bear in mind the fact that corruption is not only an abuse of public office in perticular nor of a good social order in general but largely the dead of a society's conscience. We may feel corruption is stealing from public treasury and what not, but I have an entirely different approach to the understanding of corruption. Fraud, Laundering, Election Offences, and all those abuse of official powers are merely products of the fruits of corruption. This will bring to bare the fact that corruption is like the concept evil to good. Simply put, corruption is a privation or lack of conscience. Again we could see corruption as an ill of the mind or an evil mind to mean it is not in the mind, it is another mind all together, a bad one at that. Hence, fighting it will mean uprooting the dirt, replacing, implanting and re-installing a new conscience. This will mean also replacing the vises with virtus.  I am sure here we are able to understand corruption not as crime that is punishable through a criminal process guided by the criminal code of conduct but a moral ill that is curable through rebuilding an entirely new moral mindset. Few individuals (relevant authorities) could fight crime but the fight against corruption directly involves everyone.
Now, you may be asking, how it is possible to fight corruption using this defination. We must begin to think this way that corruption has two fruits, ‘selfishness’ and ‘greed’. We must see them not as the factors that breed corruption but fruits of corruption, the fruits of selfishness and greed on the other hand will be what we call crime, to include among others, theft, fraud, money laundering, electoral offences, use of ghost workers, diversion of projects, and other violent related issues. Hence, fighting crime in this context will be a useless misplacement of priority,  this is because it will amount to an attempt to kill a teak tree by cutting it down or setting fire on it which certainly will turn out a fruitless effort since it will still grow again and this time more fresh, stronger and better.  Note the  difference here, while crime could be involuntarily or unwillingly carried out  corruption is always a willful abuse or betrayal of one’s conscience.
Resting on a Shack
From of old we have always based our fight against corruption on a deadly fruitless surface. For instance, during Obasanjo’s regime it was a campaign by the then minister of information (Dora Akunyele) to promote deceit. By ‘rebranding’ we were encouraged to present Nigeria as a great nation and Nigerian’s as good people (self acclaim). Note: we were not call to make Nigeria a great nation, but to present Nigeria as a great nation. This suggested we should package damaged bread in an entirely new bag. Or give evil a good name. On the other hand, with the Yar’adua Administration’s anti corruption campaign, was the desire to start the fight from the top (Federal Government) level. He like Buhari took this war pattern on the background that ‘the resources in the hands of the FG far outweighs those of the entire 36 states and 774 Local Government put together. Hence finds it charitable enough to begin plugging the requisite loopholes at the federal level believing it would be easier that way.’ That was absolutely a wrong asumption and approach from my point of view. In Yar’adua’s case, plugging the loopholes meant allowing officials of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BBP) to be rigorous in their oversight functions. This may sound excellent except for the fact that since corruption is not an ill of the political system rather is a kind of individual’s mind, the excellent thought brought nothing but same corruption as it only succeeded in shifting enormous powers (that will later be abused) to the then Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Engr. Emeka Eze. The result was that only projects that pleased him gained certification and ‘any project that fell to secure his certification was as good as dead’ as reported by O. Adeniyi.
It is this mindset of fighting corruption from the top that has so far made the whole effort look like a witch hunt or retaliation venture if there is a cause for that. Little wonder we find especially people from the opposition parties constantly accusing the president as only fighting against them.
THE NEW FIGHT
We can hardly make out a distinction between the past and the present fight against corruption as it is still the same pledge to eliminate corruption by punishing previous wrongdoing, for the  prune of public expenditures, we now have cutting down cost of governance, and in place of the degrees we are likely to have new laws from bills past at the 7th Senate (this will be discussed in detail soon). It seem Nigerians have a placement for the current fight that seem to say it will be simply a temporal raising of dust as in the days past. This may explain why shortly after the swearing in of President Muhammadu  Buhari, in May, the Ex-Borno State Governor now People Democratic Party (PDP)’ acting national Chairman on June 3, 2015 submitted himself to the authorities for onward processing on corruption matters, as well some other officials of the Goodluck administration also turned themselves in and returned stolen loots they carted away while serving in government. Which do not really mean repentance but to buy a resting place or a pay to rid the fear since by experience and through history we know (they would say) it is not going to last long. As if to say Buhari is already achieving his dream of a corrupt free Nigeria but this largely examplifies a moonlight hide and seek game. If my judgement is right, a many Nigerians would be seeing the recovery of stolen funds from Oil marketers, the Diezani Alison –Maueke case, detention of six Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) officials involved in N8 billion scam on June 2, 20015, reopening of investigations into the $182 million Halliburton bribery scandal among others as achievements recorded in the fight, to such people I say sorry for you are doom to walk the night as that is far from the reality.
New Laws Soon to Come
Of recent, there are indications that the Presidency is likely to employ five laws (proposed) to support the fight against corruption. These laws are to be drawn from the over forty six bills swiftly passed by the 7th Senate of the Federal Republic. These include:

Whistle Blowers Protection Bill.
The Electronic Transaction Bill.
The Nigerian International Financial Centre Bill.
The Office of the Nigerian Financial Ombudsman.
The Convict and Criminal Records Bill.

This is aim at protecting individuals who will give out information on alleged malfeasances in government, provision of a legal framework to electronic transactions with a view to promote transparency in governance, provide separate agencies to include: Nigerian International Financial Centre Authority, Nigerian Internal Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, and Nigerian International Financial Centre Judicial Authority. Other aims include to build an independent body that will resolve financial and related disputes in the Financial Services Sector, and to ensure a proper documentation of convicts and criminals for the purpose of keeping a record of criminal cases in the country.
The question is what difference this will make. Everything seems to dwell on fighting financial crimes and is centered only within the political circle. Yes, corruption largely deals on that but it is not all there is to corruption and corruption exist in every aspect of our life as a people. What about exams malpractice, exploitation students suffer in public tertiary institutions, prostitution, drug pushing, boundary related issues, arm robbery, bribery, election malpractices, illegal migration, among others, are these not corruption matters? What about the mode of the fight, is there any shift from the past? It dwells basically on prosecution and detention, need I ask, how long would they stay in the prisons before they are granted presidential pardon by future presidents who may likely train and make them their successors? How long would the present administration stay in office to keep this fear long enough to form the good tradition we long for? This are answers Nigerians and Government need answer. Until we learn to begin from the drawing board we will always find ourselves running round a fruitless circle.
THAT CORRUPTION MAY TRULY GO DOWN
There is one fact I hold so dear at heart, the fact that under normal circumstances, no one was ever successful over an enemy he did not know nor understand his strategies. Which is why I call for a redefination of the foe and fight since it appears we still have not gotten it right. Success of the present administration in the fight against corruption lies solely on the level of her understanding how deep corruption has eaten into the Nigerian soul. For with a better understanding she would realize that the fight should take a revolutionary form. Which is what we assump the APC was promising us. This explains partially why I for one choose to support the APC in the last elections. My belief was that upholding ‘Change’ for a slogan and ‘fight against corruption’ as an objective; the right thought is now home. By revolution I mean ‘a great or complete change in conditions, ways, belief, thought pattern, etc. that should affects all of us.’
To achieve this, there is need for government to involve other stakeholders in the fight against corruption. These stakeholders will include, Religious, and Traditional institutions, the media, Institutions of learning and possibly relevant groups and individuals. Everything; worship, traditional and cultural practices, education and other social activities should be geared toward producing virtues men and women for the future Nigeria. We should know we can only fight to better the future and not the present since fighting corruption entails changing the Nigerian soul from an immoral selfish soul to a moral, selfless soul. It is not what prosecution and detention will give us, no, a successful fight against corruption is something only a reformation of culture, belief, and thought pattern can bring us. It is safer to have a Nigeria where Nigerians do not see the need to indulge in corrupt practices than a Nigeria where Nigerians are afraid of being detained on corrupt charges. To achieve this, refer to the recommendations bellow.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSION
After all said and done, we would see at the end that the problem that followed the last fight against corruption lay largely on the fact that Buhari only succeeded in instilling fear than developing a sense of patriotism and moral consciousness in Nigerians. This study is by no way a means to discredit the Federal Government effort in the fight but a way of redirecting our thoughts for a fruitful fight since we all have agreed we must be victorious in the fight if Nigeria must regain her rightful place. Hence;
Government should learn from the past. Governance in Nigeria should be seen from now as a continual process. We should duel more on building a common sense that will aim at a single goal for the development of Nigeria. This government stands the chance of making this particular change. We should see uncompleted projects that are serving the purpose of hide outs to criminals completed and put to us, the implementation of the last administration’s National Conference Proceedings will greatly be of help in building a Nigeria where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
There should be a total elimination of such laws and programmes that breed corruption.
Respecting boundaries among the various tiers of the government is yet another way we can drastically reduce corruption. When legislators turn semi executive, judiciary turn legislators and the executive turn jack of all, what we will end with is a dysfunctional system. Also even within the executive, the various departments and agencies should stick to their limits. In the fight against corruption for instance, EFCC should do her work ICPC same, the Judiciary should do the prosecution ... no one should suffer interference from another.
There is also an urgent need for judicial cum legislative reforms and the establishment of a truly trust worthy and reliable independent justice delivery system.
There will be need to review the educational curriculum  to include a study on curruption from the pre-primary through post-primary levels. This will help build virtues men and women for the future Nigeria.
Parent also have a great role to play in building a corrupt free Nigeria by impacting morals in young minds from a tender age that they may grow with a high sense of morals.
Government should redefined her fight against corruption and take it to its proper place where the aim of education for instance would be to produce virtues men and women.
Our religious Institutions should preach, practice, and promote high sense of morals.
The traditional Leaders should be encouraged to rekindle the fast dying cultural values of old.
Groups and individuals should be encouraged to establish good and healthy relationships through social activities as sports, tourism and a lot more.
Unemployment is one enemy we must fight to its possible end. I vehemently refuse to agree that there is no room for employment in Nigeria. We so claim there is unemployment because of the presence of a lot of ghost workers, many tired but not retired individuals among others. Little wonder when we apply for employment we are told to include such information as ‘working experience.’ The next time someone asks you working experience tell them rewriting CVs, walking from office to office seeking employments, cooking, farming, are all working experiences.
Problems as of the refusal to retire by the tiered workers are largely because of poor welfare of workers and the deteriorating system for the retirees. Government should work out a good welfare package for civil servants in that they are able to meet their needs and possibly invest for their future. Salaries also should be paid in good time to help the civil servants manage properly what they work and gain.
Then the implementation of the five proposed bills as originally passed   by the 7th senate in the last days of her existence.
These and any other relevant move that will aim at building a new mindset that will sincerely embrace morality, love and respect for others and rid selfishness and greed should be welcomed. The fight against corruption is not to serve a distraction to government, it is one out of many espectations from the government which is why the president should let the media do the campaign, ICPC, EFCC and the Judiciary do the investigations and prosecutions, Legislators should make the laws, while the president go about doing his lawful duties. The fight will be better achieved when each and all do what we should do and avoid what we should not do. The role of the president in the fight should be more of guiding than the seeming high involvement. Let it not be Buhari Fighting corruption but the government fighting corruption.
My huble submission.
#God bless Nigeria

BROKEN BOUND They are not fulani herdmen, they areTERRORIST. Treat them as such.

Introduction
Nigeria is undergoing a systematic death a gender tending towards complete restriction of the state. we become ever confuse over what to face as what is before us and against us is much more stronger it seems than us. More worrisome is the fact that all these are perpetuated by Nigerians against Nigerians. This problem stems from what I view as our poor attitudes at managing blessings in Nigeria. is it the Biafaran movement that brought the Civil war, Book Haram Issue that have so much destroyed the state of the nation, the Niger Delter militancy that destroyed our resources and international relations or the most recent suspected Fulani herdsmen gullira night attacks that have rendered our state a death zone that is not a pointer to the above claim? Again this monsterious bodies do this harm and are protected by the bounds the had long broken before their operations even reached the news desk. While the Biafaran Movement enjoys protection fro the tag "Biafaran" which makes every 'Biafaran' (if anything exists as such) feel it is his/her interest that is sort for, the Book Haram enjoys "Islamic", the Militancy "Niger Deltan" and the recent attacks enjoys the protection of the tag "Fulani".
In my opinion, it is this tags that so made the problem seem near impossible to resolve. The earlier we accept this the better for us. I borrow a leave from my themes on morality where the case is similar to this, where fornication and adultry are simply made less evil by their new name, " Catching fun, sugar Mummy, Extramarital affairs, e.t.c" I recall in boarding schools you hear such names "Shifting, Borrowing, Shoping e.t.c". These words that are used to replace the word stealing or theft and this replacements makes theft amongst students appear a common thing to do as you would hear a students say with no shame or regret 'I shifted his book'.
The strength of the implication of a word will never be thesam when such a word is replace to another. We appear to miss understand the distinction between nearest in meaning and the same meaning. No two elinglish words can have the same meaning (I stand to be corrected). But if that be true, it is only worthwhile that our Government, policy makers and security operatives readress this issue.
What Nigeria is suffering form is not what we are addressing, when we are suppose to address terrorist attacks we are wasting our time addressing sectional, regional, religious and 'bla! bla!! bla!!' issues. we have lost the definition of what we should address and I only wonder, if there is a problem in the definition of a problem,,how can that problem be solved aproprately. supposing I have the power to decide which air I breath and I miss defind oxygen as caborndiaoxide, would I not breath in the wrong air? This is the case with Nigeria and this is what provoked this though in me hence this little piece for the sake of the suffering nation.

Victims in Waiting:
Day in day out Nigerian's lives victims in potency, we are either waiting for the doom soon to fall on us or a doom soon to fall on what we hold dear. Directly or indirectly we are victims in waiting. But enevitable is not the problem for now, the problem is the evitable out indifference is making inevitable. long in the days we saw a gun only on the screen but it never dawn on us to see it as a thing we can hear as existing near us, then we would hear the sound of a gun in the air during arm forces celebrations, Independence day and a host of other celebrations of like manner but we never thought of the sound of a gun as something more than a celebration, then we began to hear the news of war in countries far off, and we would always see it as a foreign man's problem. When the unwanted guest landed in the green white green land, it was to reveal a great folly. When we heared of Maiduguri, it was their problem, when it shifted to plateau State, it was the Plateau natives disunity that have cought up with them and Kaduna state indigine in collaboration with other states of the federation will sit in folded hands. In plateau it was the Birom problem and the Ngas ... would be sleeping in snoring until their turn is dawn.
And when it shifted to the Ganawuri axis, it was still a plateau state problem, even when it moved to Zanang in Kauura Local Government of Kaduna State, Moro'a chiefdom of the same state would still see it as a Takad Chiefdom wahala that would not cross over. And so we slumber as death move close and close, we slept comfortably victims in waiting while the evil one was is having a nicely-easy show in a land so acclaimed peaceful, united and strong when in fact she is but a fragmebted weak troubled state. We left our proverbs and wise saying lay in waste else the hausa proverb "in kagan gemun Dan'uwan ka na jin wuta, yi maza ka neme ruwa ka shafa was naka" would have been a stronger tool of changing our definition into 'ready fighters in advance'.

MEN

Hey just learn about these things today thought I should share it with my goons.

The size of the bladder is 40 - 60 cl. A bottle of coke is 50cl. As the bladder stores more urine it can enlarge up to 300cl. An overfilled bladder may leak and this leads to wetting / urinary incontinence. Also the volume may put pressure on the kidney and may lead to kidney damage.
What may likely bring the man to hospital is acute urinary retention. He wakes up one day and he is not able to pass urine.

Everything I have described above is associated with prostate enlargement, technically called benign prostate hyperplasia.

There are other diseases of the prostate like:
1. Prostatitis – inflammation of the prostate
2. Prostate cancer – cancer of the prostate.

This discussion is on prostate enlargement.

I have bad news and good news.

The bad news is that everyman will have prostate enlargement if he lives long enough.
The good news is that there are life style changes that can help the man after 40 to maintain optimum prostate health.

Nutrition
Look at what you eat. 33% of all cancers, according to the US National Cancer Institute is related to what we eat.
Red meat everyday triples your chances of prostate disease. Milk everyday doubles your risk. Not taking fruits / vegetables daily quadruples your risk.

Tomatoes are very good for men. If that is the only thing your wife can present in the evening, eat it with joy. It has loads of lycopene. Lycopene is the most potent natural antioxidant.
Foods that are rich in zinc are also good for men. We recommend pumpkin seeds (ugbogulu).
Zinc is about the most essential element for male sexuality and fertility.

Men need more zinc than women. Every time a man ejaculates he loses 15mg of zinc. Zinc is also important for alcohol metabolism. Your liver needs zinc to metabolize alcohol.

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION
As men begin to have urinary symptoms associated with prostate enlargement, it is important they look at alcohol consumption. More fluid in means more fluid out.

Drink less. Drink slowly.

EXERCISE
Exercise helps build the muscle tone. Every man should exercise. Men over 40 should avoid high impact exercise like jogging. It puts pressure on the knees. Cycling is bad news for the prostate. We recommend brisk walking.

SITTING
When we sit, two-third of our weight rests on the pelvic bones. Men who sit longer are more prone to prostate symptoms. Do not sit for long hours. Walk around as often as you can. Sit on comfortable chairs. We recommend a divided saddle chair if you must sit long hours.

DRESSING
Men should avoid tight underwear. It impacts circulation around the groin and heats it up a bit. While the physiological temperature is 37 degrees, the groin has an optimal temperature of about 33 degrees. Pant is a no - no for men. Wear boxers.  Wear breathable clothing.

SMOKING
Avoid smoking. It affects blood vessels and impact circulation around the groin.

SEX
REGULAR  SEX IS GOOD FOR THE PROSTRATE

Celibates are more prone to prostate illness. While celibacy is a moral decision, it is not a biological adaptation. Your prostate gland is designed to empty its contents regularly.
NB: SEX MUST BE WITHIN D CONTEXT OF MARRIAGE.

Thought: when someone shared something of value with you and benefit from it. You have a moral obligation to share it with others because someone in your friends list might be saved.

LIFE

we make our world what we want of it, when we open people's file we realize life is worthless, but more evident in the seeming worthlessness of life is the reality that the conflict of, in and with life makes life even more best and worth than we could thing of. this fact is not all there is to life hence does not constitute a debunk of the thought of life as worthless. it only established the bases for a new point of view about life, a point of view that seeks to defined life as a mystery.
each time I watch the movies I see only a twist and play over conflict, I realize the duration of a movie is determined by how long the conflict lasts, the interest of a person is dependent on the quality and intensity of the conflict there in. so it is with life. if this be true, it is a matter of necessity then that we should say  Conflict is the spices of life.
Once in at our fun time that is often full of informing and educative arguments with friends on topics relating to politics, religion, faith, and contemporary ethical issues a friend (name withheld) would say "J.F, you always oppose me..." and my reply to him will be that "life is a game of opposite." I draw this believe from the 'secondary' composition of electricity that it is a combination of two opposing forces (+positive and -negative) and each time this reality dawn on us we know better that we could only catch fun for such a long time only as long as we could keep our separate ways as it concerns the topic. our fun is only a result of our disparity.
Sometimes ago a superior and elder in formation said to me "strong man! amidst all this how do you still push through this strongly with great comfort and happiness much more than the rest of us. you must have  a secrete to this" I smile with no words for deep down within me I knew he was out for a jest  venture. I simply said within me "this too shall pass away." Were it to be a sincere search for help and counselling I world have replied him thus "I am always ready so life never surprises me, I know with the hard way is a happy end so the goodies of life never distracts my being focus, and the hard times I expect always to come since they are my tools to building life fulfilling. Simply put; I walk on thorns happily, calm and in great comfort because I know they are my lead way to theTHRONE and I carry my cross with joy because I know the cross is what will be used to make my CROWN for the THRONE."
I challenge all that care to know to believe me when I say we all are crude gold, to achieve our worth we must pass through the baptism of fire and that baptism of fire is what you call CONFLICT or PROBLEMS of life, that I call the SPICES of Life.

MY REACTION TO CRITICS ON THE BILL TO REGULATE RELGIOUS PRACTICE IN KADUNA STATE

THE OPENING:
Religion is one strong blessing the Nigerian State is known and associated with, this I what defines Nigeria as a multi-religious state. The existence of Christianity, Islam, Traditionalist, and even Budhist in Nigeria justifies this definition and the fact that adherents of this religions live together in different communities as next door neighbors makes the whole issue interesting and religion beautiful.
Basically if anything good exists in the world it should be with the religious communities, if there are values to be taught the school of values should be these communities. This is true if religion is ...
It is against this background that...
The issue of religion has turned a different leaf in the Northern part of Nigeria. Religious crisis has engulfed the better part of Northern Nigeria causing set back in development in all sphere of life. The crisis has set brothers against each other. Going down memory lane some religious crisis that came to mind are:  The Maitatsine crisis in Kano, 1980. A man who claimed to be a spiritual leader by name Marwa incited his followers to inflict havoc on the inhabitant of the town both Christians and Muslims.  Hundreds of lives were lost and properties worth thousands of naira were destroyed.  In 1984, another crisis erupted again, this time in Yola, Adamawa State North Eastern Nigeria, it was another Maitatsine crisis, hundreds of people killed and properties destroyed.  There were minor crisis here and there after the Yola crisis.  In 1987, Kafanchan, Kaduna State, North Western Nigeria witnessed a religious crisis as a result of a Christian cleric who was accused of quoting from the Holy Quran.  This resulted in places of worship torched and people in their hundreds killed.  Zaria residence in Kaduna State of a particular religion were not comfortable with the outcome of the report of the Kafanchan crisis decided to retaliate, hence another outbreak of hostility claiming lives and properties.

Zangon Kataf is a Local Government Area in Kaduna State. An issue concerning siting a market led to disagreement and the result was a religious crisis.  The natives wanted the market at a particular place without the interferrance of the Hausa tribe whom they claimed to be settlers.  The crisis in Zangon Kataf spread to other parts of the State and neighbouring States where places of worship were burnt, hundreds of lives lost and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

Bauchi town in North Eastern Nigeria suffered a set back resulting from a religious crisis in 1991. In the same year a renowned German preacher Reihard Bonke was to visit Kano State in North Western Nigeria for a crusade, there was a protest against his coming; this protest resulted in a religious crisis leading to lost of hundreds of lives and places of worship torched.  A quiet town in Bauchi State North Eastern Nigeria called Tafawa Balewa was engulfed in crisis as a result of a misunderstanding between a Muslim and Christian. The Muslim claimed the Christian sold pork meat to him instead of beef. Though the claim could not be ascertained as the whole town was engulfed in religious crisis with religious places burnt and hundred of people killed. The crisis spread to neighbouring towns and States. With the return to democracy in Nigeria in 1999 many States in Northern Nigeria made effort to introduce the Sharia legal system, there was resistant by the Christians who claimed the legal system will not favour them.  The Governor of Kaduna State then was pressurized to implement it, his delay in implementing resulted to a protest by some adherents of a religion, resulting to one of the worst religious crisis in the North where thousands were killed, hundred of thousands were rendered homeless.  Places of worship were also burnt down with theological institutions inclusive.

Jos, the capital of Plateau State in North Central Nigeria regarded as the “Home of Peace, Unity and Tourism” lost this status when in 2001 a disagreement resulting from a political appointment engulfed the town in one of the worst religious crisis in the North claiming thousands of lives with hundreds of thousand rendered homeless.  The indigenes of the State claimed the Hausa –Muslims who are settlers are the cause of the crisis, while the Muslims are pointing accusing fingers on the Christians.  The crisis spread to other Local Government Areas in the State, the crisis was so tensed that the Federal Government of Nigeria had to declare a State of Emergency on the State thereby suspending the State Governor.  The ‘Miss Universe Pageant’ that was supposed to be hosted by Nigeria in 2002 attracted the wrath of followers of a particular faith who were fighting against an article written in one of the dailies linking the pageant with a great Prophet.  The adherents of this faith believed it was against their belief and the tenets of their religion for women to display their nakedness in the name of beauty pageant.  Kaduna town once again boiled with places of worship torched and hundreds of lives killed.

Kano State in 2003 and 2005 suffered religious crisis resulting from some people kicking against sell of alchohol in the State and the siting of a place of worship.  The resultant end was people killed and places of worship torched. Election everywhere in the world is a period of selecting leaders that will rule people. In 2008, a Local Government election in Jos plateau State turned into a religious crisis that hundreds were killed and properties destroyed.  Bauchi town came into the news again in 2009, when a religious scholar’s sermon resulted in a religious crisis because of two worship places built side by side.  The scholar believed it is improper, his followers decided to act according to his sermon.  Bauchi town was on fire with lives lost, places of worship and houses torched, while  hundreds were rendered homeless.

Apart from the religious crisis listed above, there are many other religious crisis experienced in Northern Nigeria with less casualties below hundred.  There are crisis such as the Denmark Cartoon and any Western World policies that are detrimental to any of the countries in the Middle East. Such situation result in crisis where places of worship are torched and people killed.

Causes of Religous Crisis in Nigeria

Having looked at the history of religious crisis in Northern Nigeria one will be prompted to ask the question ‘What is the cause of the crisis?’ before now it was believed that followers of each religion are fighting to protect their faith and being loyal to her. Recent survey proved otherwise.

The research conducted by this centre revealed that there are many causes of religious crisis, but these causes are man-made as they can be averted.  One of the causes is as a result of incitement from the clerics who in the course of their sermon used provocative and inciting words to the hearing of their disciples against the other religion. Another reason for incitement playing a significant role in fuelling crisis is illiteracy and ignorance. The literacy rate in Northern Nigeria is low compare to other regions in Nigeria. With illiteracy at high rate many of the disciples relied on what the clerics passed on to them.

Some of the literates amongst the disciples are not better off as the level of ignorance of the other faith in their community or as neighbours, hence the hostility towards them. The orientation from homes and some schools contribute as well to hatred for other faith.  The lack of awareness in the media for peacefull co-existence and enlightenment at religious gathering contribute to the ignorance of the adherents of the two religion.

the sin of El Rufai Nasir is in not creating awareness on the issue at stake. be that as it may, while Rufai must redirect is capitalist and some sort of 'milit-monarch' leadership orientation. The church and the rest of us too must see beyond the nose. I feel this is a controversial issue. with most of the christian clerics who have been on track and obeying both moral, civil, and natural codes it is an abuse of conscience. But on the other hand, with Clerics especially with the Islamic religion who would not sensor what the say and careless about what others' opinions are, this law is a most needed. we are not talking yet of the bridge of individual fundamental human rights especially of the right to freedom of movement at events where major roads are often turned worship places by some religious sects. this law on the ends is needed. Above all. we all must respect what should be against what is.
@ Potter's Hand. even before Christ the state have always regulated religion which is what gave the state power to crucify Jesus. let me quickly add that I am not talking of the rightness or wrong nature of the accusation, Christ may not have been guilty as accused, that is not our concern here our concern here is that one at that time who is guilty of blasphemy was punished by the state. We cannot shift from the fact that the state reserves the right to stop any action, inaction, words and thoughts patterns. cultures and traditions and any other practices that posses a thread to citizens and that attempt a bridge of individuals' rights. Surface therefore to say yes the state CAN regulate religious practices within her territories. the question will be to what limits? or SHOULD the state do it now, I.e has the state reasons to do that at the moment.

By the way, we should stop painting a picture that seem to say the state wants us to preach what the want. let us be objective and constructive as Christ will always be, by objective and constructive outlook at the situation at hand we would find it prevalent a thought to so the state wants us to preach what we should which has not been the case with most religions lately. Religion in Nigeria have not been able to regulate itself hence have caused us harm than good.    It is only worthwhile that we accept this fact on the bases that we might not have caused reasons for this laws but another religion have caused reasons for that which the guiltless to this regard could and can not save hence the state OUGHT to strike with such laws that will regulate such adulterations.

THE ROSE I CLASH IS GROWN

Windy windy Wednesday morning
Marching madly moving west
Then the fragrance of this rose
Striking strongly strangers strayed.

In my stray a Rose I met
In her fragrance way a gave
In her beauty erect I stood
Little little now she's grown

From above the song I hear
Majestic birth the heaven procclaims
Stregth for the weak in her it rests
Bording for the poor her shoulder lift.

Since I clash wisdom I learned
Such wit for fools her silence give
Blessings she needs heaven bestowed
Help from man Angels provide

What else but long life
What else but divine favour
What else but a glorious crown
What else but good health.

Precious rose grow in Splendour
At they step earth must turn
At thy knock doors must open
At thy search thy hands shall find
For favour favour is thy name...
